What happens when you cancel
Turn off renewal in the app anytime. Your number keeps working until the end of the month you paid for. After that it is paused and kept for 90 days, then released.
Why 90 days? Your number may be linked to WhatsApp or other accounts. Holding it for 90 days gives you time to come back or to move those accounts, and it stops the number from going to someone new too soon.
Monthly plan: questions and answers
How much is the monthly US number?
$12.99 a month, charged in US dollars by card. It renews every month until you cancel the renewal. If you need more outgoing minutes, you can add 100 minutes for $5.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Turn off renewal in the app. Your number keeps working until the end of the month you paid for. Payments are not refunded.
Is the monthly plan different from the yearly plan?
The number, minutes, voicemail and app are the same. Only the price and a few terms differ: the yearly plan costs $100 (about 36% less over a year) and includes a $5 welcome credit; the monthly plan has no welcome credit, and a cancelled monthly number is kept for 90 days instead of 30.
Does it work for WhatsApp codes?
Yes. TripoSIM tested WhatsApp and popular apps, and their codes reach the number. Some banks and a few services may still refuse internet numbers, so we cannot guarantee every service.
Do I need to verify my identity?
Yes, once: a quick ID check of about 2 minutes with your passport or ID card and a selfie, before you choose your number.
What if a monthly payment is not paid?
The number is paused. If it stays unpaid, it is kept for 90 days and then released, and a released number cannot be recovered.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are not refunded. The exceptions: a full refund if we cannot deliver your number within 72 hours, and any refund your local law requires.
