• Hagia Sophia: foreign visitors now use a separate entrance with a paid ticket and see the upper galleries. The ground floor is kept for prayer. The dome is under restoration, so expect some scaffolding.
• Blue Mosque: entry is free, but it closes to visitors during the five daily prayers and on Friday mornings until the midday prayer is over. Cover shoulders and knees. Women cover their hair, and scarves are provided.
• Topkapı Palace is closed on Tuesdays. The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.
